The American Art Deco Dealers Association (AADDA) is the trade association for art deco and art nouveau antique/collectible dealer's / collectors who conduct trade in America. The Association's main purpose is to establish and maintain confidence between its members and the public, in buying, trading and selling of art deco as well as art nouveau collectibles. The AADDA has set the standard for trading in the art deco and art nouveau collectable business. Members of the Association are mutually pledged to safeguard the interests of those who buy, sell or collect art deco and art nouveau antiques and works of art. The Association seeks to promote the best interests of the art deco and art nouveau collectable trade; to promote just, honorable and ethical trade practices; to promote the association's causes; identify and promote members businesses, and provide a safe haven for dealers, collectors and consumers in the field. Members of the Association back up their professional status by offering the AADDA Guarantee with any item they sell.
In the vast and unpoliced arena of the Internet, many new and experienced consumers or collectors are subjected to unscrupulous sellers whose main interest is the quick sale and fast buck. Often, from incomplete listings to intentional misleading listings, these individuals perpetuate a very unstable environment for consumers. Unfortunately, victims of such individuals have no viable means of determining the seller's level of expertise, professional business practices and ethical standards. As such, the American Art Deco Dealers Association strongly recommends that consumers in the art deco and art nouveau collectable trade deal with AADDA Members only for their own safety.
